SALSERA for The Civil Service Cup

Salsera has been tuned up well for the Civil Service Cup (1,400m), the main event of the race to be held here to-day. A Class I handicap race over seven furlongs has attracted 12 horses and it won't be easy for Salsera to score, still with an advantage of a good run wherein she was a favourite to win her last start and shaped like a winner before being shocked by Southern Charge inside the final stages in the same class. Other runners to be considered for various pools are Einstein, Spark Of Gold, Firezone and Star Wave. An exciting finish seems to be on the cards. In The Sir Charles Todhunter Memorial Cup I fancy Blushing Beam on account of good morning preparation and last run being good. She has an excellent opportunity to score amongst the youngsters which most of them are running for the first time in this class whereas Scubarioo and Nox have run in this class without creating any impression.
