MRC Chairman's statement.

The Chairman asked Fin Powrie to give his opinion. He said, "Mr. Chairman. I would like to clarify that Appu's statement that he finished 3/4 length behind the winner is technically wrong. He has finished 3/4 length plus a neck behind in third place. Lyra has come from behind and was not punished by his jockey in the latter stages of the race. There was no contact between the two horses. In my considered opinion, the objecting horse would not have beaten the winner. The objection lacks merit."

The Chairman’s rejoinder
“Apart from relying on the TV which can sometimes be misleading because of the angles from which the pictures are taken, one also has to rely on the opinion expressed by the Stipes who base their reasoning on what they actually saw during the running of the race, without the aid of the TV. One of the Stipes who was in the patrol car was of the view that the interference was severe and made a material difference to the outcome.”


Whatever be the angles of the TV, the Chairman’s statement that the patrol stipe could have a much better view than the head - on angle of the TV (Top frame) is utter rubbish.

If a Chairman could make a blatant malaise statement, the races conducted by MRC should also be ------------.

Jedi Knight : Won well but not many Horses were really interested in the proceedings.After revised ratings it may be difficult to WIN in same class and obviously it cant WIN in higher class.Now weight reducing mission will start.
Raiders Sun : next time some apprentice Jockey would be entrusted with the Horse and may finish off board.
Ever so Clever : CHOR run from Chor Stable.
Suave : Will Definitely place in next outing if it is over 1600.


Sunday :

First race : Vb race . Whisper Valley was literally flying in the closing stabges can do well in future.But stable is very inconsistent.

Flying Jet : Note over 1100.



Kyles of Bute : note over 1400 + and if ridden by a good jockey.
Royal Player : Bad ride.May do well if it is given more track work.
Sparsh : Quota over.Next stop at Hyderabad.
Forever Mark : very well bred.If there is positive equipment change in next outing It will WIN.


UNDUE : was not really extended.Has the ability to stay over longer distances and hence would prove to be a better horse than fleeting arrow which has some limitations on the distance.
Copertina : Difficult to pick up a race in bangalore.
Ahira : Will pick a race with Vinod Shinde over 1200.Avoid over longer distances as it was tiring.

Smart N Special : Not worth a bet if it is made to run a 1200 mts race . 1100 seems to be ideal
Perfect Analysis : Bad ride also may need 1400 and above to prove its real worth.
Man United : Distance was really sharp.
Luminious Gold : not possible to WIN a race at top handicap.May do well in the next class depending on the opposition.

Set Alight : Derby Winner.
Kiara : is a sprinter.At best can do well over 1400 only.Above this distance wont even place in future.Came here by default as most of the other fillies could not catch up due to faulty tactics.
Violet honey : 15 lenghts behind.But seems to be a stayer.The front running tactics may not help in future.
Dorabella : Easily the best of the beaten lot.Should do well at Hyderabad.Can easily cover the Derby distance at home centre.


Lava : back to form. Poor set handled on sunday.May find it tough in next outing.
On a Roll : Could not win inspite of handicap.With the change in ratings it may be all the more difficult to pick up a race in future in class 2.
Colonel Duff : Winner when asked to by the connexions.
Common Knowledge : At hyderabad only.The Dividend should have recovered the costs incurred for bangalore sojurn.
Strong Minded : Note over 1400 and when the odds are Good enough for Irfan.

Ready to Mingle : should easily WIN next outing.
Mint : nothing great as most of the Horses had no good form.May do well in terms race.
Bullish Luck : will do well if the Jockey is changed.
Voice of India : Will be heard in Mysuru.
