    IIIrd Leg – 3 Banker.

  2. DEAR ABEL,

HOW COME YOU ARE SUGGESTING 5 BANKER IN THE FIRST LEG WHEN YOUR CHOICE IS 3.IN THE FOURTH LEG OYSTER MAY ALSO SCORE.SIMILARLY IN THE 2ND & THIRD LEG BANKING MAY NOT BE RECOMMENDED.THE LAST LEG CAN HAVE A BANKER.

  3. In the first leg, when I posted my selections, the odds were not available.I had selected BEE QUICK for the 2nd choice, purely based on track work.As far as I am concerned, to me, inspite of Blazing trackwork,BEE QUICK is of unknown quantity. All horses that had blazed in trackwork are not necessarily good in racework. But BEE QUICK quoted as odds on coupled with the good work forced me to conclude BEE QUICK as a banker.
    OYSTER has no chance.
I agree with you regarding the bankers in the 2nd and 3rd legs.
When I want to restrict the investment to just 20 tickets, I have no other go, except to take a risk on banking rather than risking a huge amount on Jackpot.
My aim is not on the JP, but on individual bets, be it win or place and a right decision could be taken at the race course, depending on the odds displayed by the bookmaker.
For eg, WORLD WAR THREE was quoted at 5 to 1 for win and 0.55 for place.
In the last race VALE OF LEVEN & SECRET PILGRIM were quoted at 2 and 2.5 resp. but the place was quoted at 0.9 and evens resp.
I did make a right decision based on odds and performance.
