CONCLUDING DAY Selections

My views on the concluding day of Mumbai 2007/08 season are as follows ;

first race : VB race so lets not look for Merit.

Black Hussar : going by past performance and the comparitive field , should easily account for this set.

Virginia wolf : If the money is on the Horse will put up a fight.

Phi , Te Quiero and Shaktiman : place prospects.

Genuine Long shot is Latest news.




second race:another vb race with Jockeys imported from other centre's for this classic JOCKEY's Trophy.Most of the runners have not been tested over this distance.By eliminating those who do not stand a chance the Horses in contention are ;

Mustang Sally , Solskjaer , Acceptance and Arabian Guest.

race time odds should be considered while placing a bet on any of these four horses.Suffice to mention that it is not WORTH backing the Tote favorite at Race time.



third race :3 entries from ANTIA.Those of you who have his Phone number , dont
call and ask him for his preference.

I would go with BEYOND THERAPY from his stable.Generalissmo has been unlucky on quite a few occassions and gets the LAST chance to reddeem himself.



fourth race : best horse in the field is Mysterious Star but choice of Jockey is questionable.Procyon will undoubtedly receive support but over this DISTANCE and against this OPPOSITION and at 59 Kgs , I would rather keep quiet rather than place a Winning bet on this Horse.Given a choice I would back Morphues each way and Wild Vegas for place.



fifth race :I would go with Highland flame and Dangerous Belle for PLACE and with ZEN for each way bet. Romantic Impact the well bred horse does not impress me.


sixth race :One of the most competitive races seen this season.Except for Exuberance and Bella the rest of the runners are equally tracking well and have a decent chance to WIN / Place.

Dancing Dynamite : Won impressively at 100 to 1 when it not expected to even PLACE.Has the class but i would give it a skip.

Giannatassio : Tracking well , MAY only PLACE.

Ascriptive : Though a Non winner till date , the last run was very impressive.I would go with a each way bet on this Horse if the odds are above 10 to 1.

Es Sider : Well bred Horse which ran a fair 4 th in last outing.At best PLACE.

Fire Within : Tracking extremely well and if one were to go by the previous run this Horse
has a better chance than the other Horse from the stable BLACK SAPPHIRE.WILL PLACE
CERTAINLY.

Rising Hero : Jockey is a ??????????????????.

Black Sapphire : came from way off the pace to finish a impressive 2 nd to Divine.Will be fancied by one and all but to me it is not worth a bet if it is below 4 to 1.



seventh race : seems to be a open race.

My choices are Elemento Angel , Classic Star , and Queens Court
( depending on the odds )

Sparta , Ekofisk and Dance Maestro are all looking negative.




Last race : Tullamore , Full Throttle and Saarah.

Antia can sign off with a Hatrick on TULLAMORE.Last run was impressive.

Full Throttle : another youngster Vinay Lagad can also shine in this open race.

Saarah : Long shot for PLACE.

Ptolemy might find it difficult to WIN / Place at this HANDICAP.

Socaroro : Last race of the season , may not show interest.

Lone Trojan : If offered At 6 to 1 and above good EACH way bet.Less than 6 to 1 SKIP.
