RANS RATING AND FRUSTRATION !!!!!!!

HI ALL,
I KNOW ONE THING HERE, IS THAT MR ABEL RAJ AND SWAMYBABU ARE LIKE CLOCK WORK MAKING THEIR RATINGS.
IT IS VERY FRUSTRATING AND DEMEANING, TO TIME AND TIME AGAIN REQUEST MR RAJGOPAL NAIR FOR HIS RATINGS.
HENCE I HAVE DECIDED TO GO AHEAD AND MAKE THE RANS RATING WITHOUT MR RAJGOPAL NAIRS NUMBERS.
IN FACT I HAVE REQUESTED ONE OF OUR VERY GOOD HANDICAPPERS FROM RACE GENIUSS, CALLED RAHOOL ROY, FOR PERMISSION TO USE HIS NUMBER, TO ARRIVE AT THE FINAL RATING NUMBERS.
I WILL THINK UP OF A SUITABLE CHANGE IN NAME FOR THE RATING, IN DUE COURSE.
WE WISH MR NAIR LUCK WITH HIS WORKING AND RACING IN GENERAL, AS SECRETIVE AS IT MIGHT BE.
I AM GOING TO REQUIRE ALL VIEWERS OF THIS BLOG, TO HELP, BY POSTING THE SELECTIONS OF THE FOLLOWING.(PLEASE NOTE THAT IF SOME ONE WISHES TO UNDERTAKE THAT RESPONSIBILITY THEN PLEASE DO SO WITH DILIGENCE, AND POSTING SHOULD BE AS EARLY AS POSSIBLE, AS THERE IS FUTHER WORK INVOLVED.)

    RB, there are too many comman factors in normal tips from race books and News papers. But to add wieght to your ratings I suggest focus on only tips by track reporter that will add genuine wieght to the system. Track reporters tips carry wieght as they normally tip horses that are tracking well. your system in my opinion goes very close to cumulative tips by media hence just focucing on Track reporter tips you can enhance your views.

    Just a suggestion rest is up to you guys.

    Rb , if you access too many publications , race books , web sites and then work out the ratings it is not going to help the cause.People who visit the BLOG need CLARITY .Too many tips and choices will put them off as they cant decide on whether to go by the ratings of Swami , Abel, Rb , Rahool , combined ratings or individual Views posted by all of you or the tips by the media.I suggest that all post thier views and choices in the blog and the viewers can compare all the choices and shortlist a few horses.

    Now if each of the contributors give 1 or 2 winners per day , how can ONE claim credit , since the punter might have backed the tip of another contributor which may have failed.

    At the end of the day does anyone care to see how the ratings fared ?? So what you should do is to work on the ratings and keep a record.At the end of one month , you should Publish the Chart for the month reflecting how many Winners the Combined rating was able to shortlist.If the Sucess % is at least 40 % then the same can be put up in the blog.

    Too many selections from lots of
    books/papers will only come to up
    end your efforts.On the whole you
    will end up showing 1st Favourites
    2nd favourites only.

    tiger,
    much appreciated. will do what you have suggested.
    all need to understand that i am making the rans rating by giving weigtage to various schools of handicapping.
    so i will do the thing that will be best suited for the ultimate outcome.
    also from next season on i will keep a track of the selections the ratings come up with, like a performance monitor.

    BIHARI BHAI,
    IF YOU CHECK THE PAST RANS RATING AND COMPARE THERE IN WHICH WERE FAVORITES OR SECOND FAVORITES YOU WILL SEE THAT IT DOES NOT ALWAYS END UP LIKE THAT.
    AND ALSO IF IT DOES THEN SO BE IT.
    THE RANS RATING IS A COLLECTIVE EFFORT OF 4 PEOPLE AND IF THE HIGHEST RATED ANIMAL IS THE 1ST FAVORITE THEN THATS THAT.

    Well I am happy that RANS will become SFR, Mr. Nair's DFR is great and if you create a rating independent of him it will only give us race goers a better alternatives while evaluating.

    However I have a suggestion... Why not create a race card itself, columns for rating, odds, rating odds with a column for track work included showing A (Average work outs) G (Good Track work) E (Excellent track work) or any other parameter that is required.

    Another column for racing behavior of horse (maybe Jockey too?)

    Another Column can be to indicate that a horse is capable of winning if the money flows on him...we all write it down in comments but it will be more effective if a $ symbol can prepare to be on watch for smart money on such horses.

    Finally a column which should mark to us to stay away from a horse even if its strong on rating because the connections are not dependable.

    Eventually we will have a card before us with no need to see who is marked ist 2nd or third choice...we will make our own choice.
