Speed Rating for 16th November, 2008 - Hyderabad Races

Hi Folks,

Sprucespringstein appeals most among the nine runners in the fray for the Speaker’s Cup (1,200m), the main event of the races to be held today. Last time out it was given a lung opener specially with a sprint race in mind wherein it just knuckled under pressure to Touch of Gold at the post. Today with highest rating and Fox astride and with 200mts. less to travel, should be able to score. In the Bhagmati Cup Div I Copertina looks in good condition. Ignore last run. On track it is beating Shakin Stevens ranked 88 in points by a distance. But it will have a strong challenge from Phar Lap and Al Jameel. In the division II Indradhanush looks good. On the basis of last run wherein it was 4th till bend and with a powerful run came a good 2nd. My rest of the speed ratings for the remaining races are as follows:

Race No. 1:

A race confined for 2yr maiden horses and amongst all Pythagoras looks in the best condition on the basis of track work. Has a good chance to score here.

Chestnut Charmer looks the best here. It caught my observation when it was seen finishing level with Habituated with a ranking of 58 points. It is fit for the fray and should strike here. Vintage Dancer may follow second.
