The Sri Shamlal Gupta Memorial Cup to be run over a distance of 1600 for 3year old and over for Category I should be a straight fight between Bernado and Bold Blast. Bernado seems to be having an edge on account of excellent track work wherein it was seen moving excellently and is in pink of condition. It won from end to end unperturbed in RNo.206 Hyd. Monsoon. According to me it is also enjoying handicap advantage over others and hence according to me stands a good chance to annexe this cup. Sparsh should continue winning in the opening race of the day since it is having an advantage of a run here and should spoil the unbeaten record of Powerplay which is equally in good form as evidenced in the morning trials. Amongst the 2 year old horses in The Grace Hanovar Plate to be run over a distance of 1200mts, Menlo Park, Pay Day and Jia Yoh Jia Yoh come closely on track work. Still Menlo Park enjoys an edge over others on account of moving well in morning trials wherein it was seen finishing just 2ls behind Global Presence with 84 points. Also in one of the track work it was seen finishing ahead of Ravileena by 2ls. Hence worth taking an each way chance. My speed ratings for the races to be held today are as follows:
