Speed Rating for 7th November, 2008 - Bangalore Winter Races

Hi Folks,

Well inaugurate the Bangalore Winter Season 2008-09 by playing Idar Princess in first race i.e. The Inauguration Stakes to be run over 1100mts. Idar Princess shapes like a winner in this race meant for two-year olds and is quite fit for the fray as evidenced by her wound up track on 5th inst. wherein she finished 3ls ahead of Excellent Speed having a rating of 43. Only factor which will stop her success will be MAM Misty Moonlight which is also tracking well but Idar Princess accordingly has a slight edge. Unlucky for some but lucky to some Rio Bravo with race card Number 13 has an excellent chance to win The Rajyotsava Trophy the cheif event for today's race card. Rio Bravo with 62 kgs on its back has run over here in Summer twice over the same distance. Last run of Rio Bravo wherein it came up with a late charge to finish an eye-catching second to Splendid Surprise at Mysore over a mile, in smart timing which enables him to run with a good speed rating and with same weight has the capacity to score here as it will have to travel 200mts less. In Mysore it gave a tremendous performance after a lay-off of nearly 45days when in Race No.90 it was seen lying last till 1200, was 9th at the bend and with electrifying turn of foot was seen flying at the end to finish an eye catching 2nd. I recommend a good each way bet. Only Lionheart has the heart and form to cause an upset as it seems to be having tremendous zest for racing at this age by improving run after run. In The Kunigal Trophy Andronicus has an edge over others by way of good speed rating and if good jockey is declared to ride one can back it with confidence.
