Speed Rating for 8th November, 2008 - Bangalore Winter Races

Hi Folks,

In The Zone is expected to score in the Krishnaraja Trophy (1,200m) the main event of the races to held here on Saturday (Nov. 8) a six furlong race for horses rated 80 and above, Originality should add spice to the finish. In The Zone will be running in the same class and without penalty straight after Mysore races. In The Zone after having finished behind Diamond Hunter and Polar Wolf within 1.50lengths and in a smart timing of 71.80 which gives him an added advantage of good speed rating. Originality is no mean horses and on track it is finishing ahead of Own Voice with a rating of 83 by at least 6ls. Still on promotion it runs with a disadvantage of 9kgs which according to me will be the ultimate factor which might turn the tables for In The Zone to prevail here. Hence I do not forsee Originality winning here with this huge disadvantage. Also can Originality track for the same distance within 72.50 even after giving additional points for trackwork? I doubt very much and hence I strongly recommend In The Zone a failed favourite last time out to be played each way. In the Air Force Trophy Div I, should be a straight fight between Equidae and Little Splendour. The former is having minor edge. In the Division II for the same Trophy Aquitaine is way ahead of Scenic melody and should prevail in the supporting events for the day. In fact it will be very profitable to follow K.P.G.Appu for the day's proceedings. My rest of the speed ratings for the day are as follows:
