GYPSY MAGIC for The Fillies Trial Stakes(Grade I)

Gypsy Magic, who is in pink of condition as evidenced in the morning trackwork wherein two superb tracks one with Dancing Dynamite and other with Icebreaker, has the best credentials to score in the grade I Fillies Trial Stakes (1,600m), the chief event of the races to be held to-day. Gypsy Magic had run a close second in the Poonawalla Million at Mumbai before being rested. She had veered badly towards the outer rails in that race towards the end, and if she runs staight as an arrow she looks as an outstanding runner here. Captivating no doubt is the highest rated filly in this field as she has the benefit of having raced frequently. But she may lack in speed. Pesi Shroff's Astral Flash has been prepared judiciously , and the stable is confident of putting up a stout performance. Nevertheless an exciting finish seems to be on the cards. In The Elusive Pimpernel Trophy the supporting event for the day, I strongly fancy Noble Sacrifice on basis of excellent morning trackwork wherein it has improved a lot. Should finish ahead of Step In Style and Leave It To Me. In The Justice P.Medapa Memorial Cup Rugged Beauty looks good enough to get the better of Sans Pareil.
