When i started the poll i had no idea about the heat this is likely to generate.
Each tipster has his own system of operating. The following are some of the different types of handicapping:-
a) Speed
b) Pace
c) Track
d) Time
e) Form
Different combinations come out with DFR,IPP,Rating points,Logic , FINOO etc.
The objective of the poll was to show that each tipster has his own methods and is successful in his own right.
NO tipster can claim mastery over horse racing as the final outcome depends on the luck of the race, Intentions of connections,mood of the horse, Money flow etc.
The idea of having the information from the tipsters is to understand as to what can happen in a race when certain parameters are evaluated.
On that basis, my personal opinion is that all the tipsters are doing a good job.
This comes to a question as to who is a better tipster.
Is he
a) The one with more number of winners
b) More number of flukers
c) More number of "LAY SPECIALIST" in the sense that is he the one who can more accurately predict the loss of favourites
d) Less number of winners but better returns
e) Winners have no relationship but gives the best possisble information on the participating horses.
We can go on.
Frankly i do not have the answer.
I have been experimenting with the combined selections for some time and have realised that in all probability the combined tips work better than the individual tips.They have a better success rate and probably a better return too.
In any case , i have no doubts on the INTEGRITY of my fellow bloggers and i would like to reiterate that we should take the comments we get for improving our work and not for getting into a shell.
People are free to comment and unless the same is vulgar, the same should be permitted.
Very happy to note that two of my fellow bloggers are way ahead in this race.Lets see the finish.
I would not like to stop the poll as i feel that is not the right thing to do. For information , i and my wife voted in my favour from my PC.

Along with Racing wonder of Madhu, which has shut shop, Swamybabu remains an iconic blog and most respected. It's a shame to see adverse comments against the polls. It's hard to see few things printed here that are causing damage elsewhere.
Once a poll has been conducted, in all humility the results should be accepted without a murmur, questioning the poll may be right at a point but ideally incorrect. There was no point starting to question something hanky panky was going on, AFTER starting the poll.
BECAUSE...HONESTLY... this kind of poll can be manipulated, from a single PC if one has more than a single browser he can post as many votes as the number of his browsers. It should have been understood before such a poll was begun, it could have saved us from all the crap which continues to emerge from one blog to another making these blogs look very immature.
Even if one has 3/4 browsers on a PC/Laptop, even then one has to love a blogger to post votes for him. Such a scenario should have been taken into account before commencing the poll. I bet no follower will vote twice for a blogger he doesn't love.
The sad point is that Charan has decided to call it quits, it has been hurting him a lot, this might be good news only for a few, as for myself I am just praying he is afflicted with Nair syndrome and comes back after a little gap.
Even for me the results were surprising, I expected a close finish between Tiger/Charan/Shyam, it's shocking to see the votes that they have garnered, so this poll seems to be simply between followers of Charan and followers of Nair. So be it... why question now?
I will be very sad if Charan shuts shop, if he is as serious as he sounds I hope swamybabu makes an endeavor for us followers to carry Charan's selections on this blog.

issue is spiraling out of control, the latest post of shyam, and also of Charan are quite avoidable.
Are these blogs a useful tool for us followers to use, tapping into your expertise or see such a fracas, of me better than u kind... it's really a sorry condition, I am sure you didn't want this when you began this poll, and I hope you impart some of your statesman like quality to other bloggers.

I write this with great Joy that I finished 3rd in the ( Blogger you love most) contest as I can now assure my wife that I am straight and I will be forgotten once the Voters have given their LOVE to the leaders.... lol.
On a more serious note I have to salute your diplomatic and genuine effort to to keep the ball rolling.
