Optimus Prime trained by Arjun Manglorkar and to be ridden by S.John, though lacks in experience and running for the first time compared to Bourbon Bay who has the benefit of a run, made excellent winning impression while cantering away from the field in his only start last Bangalore Season. The colt had been eased up at 150m itself before the winning post and presently has been blazing the morning track trials. Though both Bourbon Bay and Angelfire have racing experience one should not forget one important factor that on the basis of just one run the handicapper has placed Optimus Prime at a rating of 68 points whereas both Bourbon Bay and Angelfire when first time rated were placed at 47 and 50 points. This itself speaks volumes of the talented colt and his three kilo advantage over others should prove the turning point here. Believe me he is in pink of condition at morning track. Looking at the above plus points I feel that Optimus Prime should annex The Kempegowda Cup with authoritiy being the feature event in the nine race card framed for to-day's races at Bangalore.
