Hi Folks,
Though Jacqueline is an overwhelming favourite to win the first classic of the season which features the card of nine Trophy events programmed for Sunday, my vote goes to Celestial Way. This horse just pulverized the field at Hyderabad, won with plenty in hand and this indicates that horse has still the capacity to improve further. It should achieve a well deserved hat-trick of wins to-day. To me the dominance of Pesi and Katrak should end to-day. Jacqueline appeals as next best who had the measure of most of the classy horses during the Bangalore Summer including twice it beat Change of Luck formerly Gypsy Magic. Gypsy Magic is a temperamental filly and no doubt it lost a certain race recently at Bangalore, still the former two are much superior. R Hughes declared to ride Jacqueline is a class jockey and needs no introduction to Indian racing public and well acquainted with the Mahalaxmi course. In the end I will conclude that Celestial Way is way ahead of the rest in speed rating and one and all should make it a point to play a sound each way bet. In the Seth Ramnath Daga Trophy being one of the supporting events for the day, Monopoly on the basis of last run wherein it was close 3rd to Spitz, looks good and has the potential to upset the jodi. My rest of the speed ratings for the day are as follows:
