STAR EMPIRE for The HDFC Ergo Trophy

Hi Folks,

Well in a card of eight events for the day wherein all the races are Trophy races, I feel races will be confined between the first two favorite horses with of course a bombshell if any might take place in Class V race. Now odds on favorite Star Empire well prepared by C.D.Katrak being in good shape as evidenced by his track movements appeals to me most in the HDFC-Ergo Trophy the feature event of the races to be held here on Sunday. Next best here is Ocean Admiral who also is seen tracking well and can place at better odds. In The Indi-German Christmas Trophy River Blitz trained by S.K. Sunderji looks good enough to annex this trophy event from Churchil as it is having an advantage of a good run wherein it placed 2nd behind Flaming Arrow coming from the 12th position at bend. With extra 200mts. it should be able to hold Churchill at bay. In another trophy event i.e. Class V wherein winner prediction is always difficult, I suggest one more chance should be given to apprentice jockey M.A. Roshan to register his first career win. Hope he does it to-day at least as Hammerhead is a fast horse and if a proper lead is maintain in the homestretch, should win on consistency. My remaining speed ratings for the day as follows:
