Alvarita / Peninsula for the Oaks : edited at 11am

I A SAIT has been having a torrid time off late.I am expecting his Horses to be in the limelight today.


First Race :

The race wears an open look with most of the Horses working well.

I prefer Star Speed and Fluent Victory .

First time runners are best ignored and hence AGIOS Nikolaos has not been considered.

Lone Sentinel did end a impressive third but over 1000 mts but not sure if it can do well over 1400.

Star Speed was given a bad ride last time and is the BEST BRED Horse in the fray.One can consider a bet if there are sufficient indications at race time.

Western Challenge is also well bred and can PLACE.



Fourth Race.

Difficult to hazard a guess with the presence of so many runners.Suffice to say Born to Lead and Oyster Gem can be ignored.A small bet on STAR GIRL might yield dividends.


Fifth Race.

Insite Soul has been given too many chances and due to lacklustre performance has to be ignored.

Dangerous Belle is tracking well and should be a good each way bet.

Dancing Glory is tracking well and can strike if the money is on the Horse.Todywala has a pathetic record as of date and hence watch for the trends at race time.

Yowza and Southern Summit can come into contention for place.


Sixth Race :

Evatina has impressive credentials and should score.Iam surprised by the odds offered.SHOULD EASILY WIN based on previous run , unless the Horses has had a set back which is not reflected in the official records.

Oyster Cove is one of those late finishing types and may find it difficult to place in this race.

Adams Star is looking good on handicap and with Hyderadad Superstar Suraj Narredu can do well as the Horse is genuine class.

Atmosphere may be fancied but gate manners is an issue with this Horse.

Oprah is not in this class , however on handicap and manner of finishing CAN come close.Can Place.


Seventh race ; The HDIL Indian Oaks ;

The pace of the race would decide the outcome of the race as a slow paced race would suit most runners.Of the Horses in contention ;

Sweeping Sucess does not appeal to me and would be a NEGATIVE BET.

Alvarita has been worked by C Alford at Mumbai regularly and based on TOP rating looks like the best horse on display.But the best Horse does not Win always particularly in the OAKS.

Livorno's manner of Winning was very impressive though quality of opposition was poor but with Rajendra in the saddle can remain a live threat.

Peninsula is a late bloomer and is bred to stay.Did come leisurely to finish 5 th to Sweeping Sucess in the Filles Classic.CAN shine if the Jockey is upto the task.Not seen very frequently in the track is a bit of a bother.

Spiritual Flame is bred to stay and One should not discount its chances based on earlier runs.

Mathematica's staying prowess is unknown but track work is very impressive and is in with a genuine chance to UPSET.

Eighth Race.

OASIS Star at the odds offered is not WORTH a bet.Should complete the formalities.

Depending on the pace of the race Premier Perception , Engleheart and Hazelhead can do well .Atleast 2 out of the above 3 should place by default.

Premier Perception is capable of springing a UPSET.
