another listless day of racing scheduled at bangalore.Here are my shortlisted choices ;

The W J Sibbrit Memorial Plate : Class THREE Race : Distance ; 2000 mts.

The options are : Sontag Etoile , Van De Star , Cherika.

Van De Star should strike in this open looking race with no clear favorites.Irfan Ghatala needs some redemption and this race should see him in happier times.The Horse has had a run with Mallesh and though it finshed 9 lenghts behing the eventual WINNER , the present trip and handicap favors the Horse.Should be a GOOD each way bet.

CHERIKA ; the horse is fashionably bred and staying prowess of the horse is known and should not pose a problem.Had also participated in BLINK race but with a work Jockey, with C D HAYES the Horse does merit some attention.

Sontag Etoile ran a forward race but that was at 51 kgs.Is bred to stay but the handicap makes it a bit difficult.

Double ELITE is a 00 - 28 WINNER and the handicap advantage is not likely to benifit.Saptashwa has not been tried over this distance and hence may be ignored.

MYSTIFIED chances of finishing in first THREE seems very optimistic.

KRHOA Trophy for 3 year old's

Restricted choices as Only TWO horses are participating in this race.The Hyped Mark of Gibralter may score an encore.However due to the cramped odds , one can take a chance bet on ALCEMENE .Horse Racing is full of shocks and surprises and nothing wrong in placing a WIN bet on ALCEMENE.

The CHATRAPATHi CUp ; Class 2 race ; 60 - 90 ; 1400 mts.

Swift Fire is looking good on handicap and has better credentials than the rest of the field.Should score if taken on a START to FINSH Mission.

RENASCENT is entirely avoidable being a class IV Winner at Bangalore.Pret a Porte will be the Horse fancied by the connexions.

Carabinieri is a moral certainity for place in the light of its earlier 2 nd to STAFIRE.

the January Plate ; term race for maiden horses;

Splendid Power , Lady Banks , Blushing Beam.

Lady Banks has the class and bloodlines but entirely avoidable.

Splendid Power with the benifit of a easy race run has a better chance.

Blushing Beam might place to salvage some PLACE money for the Jockey who has been suspended.
