January 16 th : Mysore

This being my First post at this Blog , I wish to inform all visitors that my Views would be restricted to CLASS 3 Races upwards and Terms races only for Mysore , Bangalore , Hyderabad and Mumbai centres.However detailed analysis of all these races will be available for the TWO main centres only.

Race # 4 : Salem Plate ; Division 2 ; 40 - 70 handicap race.

Mr Majestic , Careerist , Dare you Say and Loremo are the Horses which appeal to me.
Among the fancied runners , Mint Royale is not seen in the tracks for a long time and hence omitted.Besides the handicap is against the horse.The other horses not shortlisted have no genuine merit or entrusted to work jockeys and hence WILL not place.

The Mumbai import Mr.Majestic having a victory with Shant Kumar earlier in the season stands a good chance being a youngster and also considering his past record in Western india.However the outer draw and handicap may go against the Horse and I would have prefered a Apprentice Jockey.

Careerist was full of running last time out and the trainer has worked the horse on 14/01 giving indication of his intention.1100 mts would have been ideal distance for this horse.Should do well.

Loremo : is a horse which likes to go to the front and previous runs should be ignored as the Horse was just worked with average jockeys.Coming from Draw 1 is an advantage and the Horse is capable of upsetting the field if the Jockey is upto the task.

Dare you Say the old warrior can be considered purely on JOCKEY merit.Is unlikely t trouble the book makers if the odds are very low.


Race # 6 Salem Place ; Division 1 ; 40 - 70 Handicap race

As this is a Division 1 Race , I would look only for TOP weighted Horse to score.Division Two winner could be at the weight of 58.5 ( ignoring dare u say for win )and hence Horses 1 to 4 only are to be considered for WIN.

Baghzad is tracking well and the earlier run was suggestive of potential.With Appu doing the honors the horse should WIN.The only negative against this Horse is at times it takes a slow jump from the gates which could ruin its chances.

Angel of Faith had WON Impressively earlier in the season but lost out subsequently in the betting.Afsar Khan does not usually do duty for this trainer and hence the chances of this Horse WINNING are low.CAN Place.

Thunder on and Smell of Sucess ignored for Jockey merit.

Amongst the others , Shooting Venus having strong saddle assistance should place.Windsor Square is at a tidy handicap and also a youngster to boot.Has WON at longer odds and can UPSET.

Zooming and Simply amazing can at best Place.


Race # 8 : Coimbatore Place ; 60 and above ; class 2 handicap race.

Very competitive race.Ansonia , Irish Whispers , Custer , Matter of Opinion and Sword of Power are the main contenders.Most of the others have no chance running over wrong distance or being ridden by weak jockeys except for Fire Brigade which is ignored as stable mate Matter of Opinion is also in the fray.

Ansonia : Was highly fancied in race 56 when Eclaire Blanche WON carrying 63 kgs.The Horse was seen tiring in the last 100 mts and hence i would not rate this Horse highly.However on pure class and considering Mumbai Import Jockey in the saddle can place.

Custer : Inline for a Hatrick.BUT Looks very doubtful as it has just come from class iv earlier on in the regular season.

Matter of Opinion came on well in race 56 and if the connexions decide to back the HORSE with all their might , NONE of the others will even try to WIN.

Sword of Power might find the going difficult and is expected to be out of depth.

Irish Whispers ; both her recent runs have been very very impressive and coming from MAM stables has the best chance to score.

MY CHOICE for the race is IRISH WHISPERS.


Hope this analysis is useful.Please look up to the odds at race time and bet accordingly.I would always avoid any WINNING bets below 4 to 1 in MYSORE.If the odds are on the higher side ,do go for the PLACE bet only.
