Overview of the Poonawala Breeders Multi Million

This year the PBM has 19 Horses competing out of which 13 have WON atleast One race , prior to this race and 6 are maidens.It is very difficult for a maiden to WIN a race of such a magnitude putting across so many talented Winners.Most earlier Winners have come from the Poonawala Stud Farm and going by that Logic Red Romeo's chances dont look bright.

Out of the shortlisted 13 a few namely ; Southern Summit , Sugar ray , Aurora Aurelis , Daffodils and Star Wave have to be ignored on Jockey Merit / beaten poor opposition.



We are then left with 8 quality Runners ;

From the list of 8, it seems that Impressive Wish and Successor have not been extended over the race distance of 1400.So their chances of WINNING are not rosy , THOUGH NOT RULED OUT.

From the balance 6 , Inspiring Trust may be ignored as the opposition might be too hot to handle.

SO WE HAVE 5 RUNNERS only.

Autonomy :Can take a chance

Fleeting Arrow.: Bangalore challenger.Untested against the Mumbai hopefuls.Has won impressively in Bangalore.WORTH A BET.

Mark of Gibraltor : This race is the stronghold of GANAPATHY / MAM and so one cant ignore MOG purely on account of the failure in Bangalore.

Palazzio's Sun : has the class to WIN with authority.

Red Romeo : Favorites have never WON the PBM but that does not mean History will repeat itself.But not worth a BET as FAVORITE.

( I should have mentioned ; Never WON in recent memory ; i accept my blunder , shyam 8.10 am sunday )
If one has to look beyond these SIX for a WIN then the ONLY HORSE is STAR PRESENTATION which has lost against RED ROMEO and AUTONOMY but has good saddle support this time.
