Spirited Choices for SATURDAY

Here are my choices for the day ;

1.Spiritual Flame to Flashing Flame.

Kingdom of Love has done very well this season and the favoritsm can be justified.But if you go by the Horses which it has beaten as of date and their subsequent performance , you realise that it has been an very easy task till date.It is a class IV Winner as most of the others are , but a WIN in class iii though possible is really difficult.Just a comparison of the races in which the Top three Horses in this race have competed would show that the FLAMES are very much superior.It could be the case that KINGDOM is a Horse which has shown a lot of improvement.This run would justify that assumption.Until then I would go with the other Horses.

2.ASCLEPIEION , KEMPINSKI , MORPHEUS.

Fantasy lake does not impress me a bit as the Horse has never been tried with good saddle support earlier.

Wahy : choice of Jockey is baffling .MAY at best PLACE.

Secret Pilgrim ; might be a set back horse considering the long gap.

Ascelepieion hacked the mediocre field last time around.Can repeat the show.

Kempiniski is certain to place.

3.Gleaming SKY , Congrats , Bourboun Queen.

If any of these falter then Desert Safari should place.

Congrats is tracking the best but a repeat on the race tracks may be difficult on debut.

Gleaming Sky has had a race run and hence prefered.

Bourbon Queen is not in the same league as Her illustrious siblings and hence AVOIDABLE.

4.Schubert , Kings Desire.

Enceladus has no TRACK work after 06/01 and i guess not worth a bet due to this factor.All other Horses of Trainer Bezan Chenoy have recent track work .

Schubert last gallop was very good and should be the Horse to watch out for with stable mate KINGS DESIRE.Oyster Pearl may oblige in place if any of the 2 runners from ANTIA look the other way.

5.Raquel : Needs more distance : AVOID Star of China : Costly failure.Terre Blance : Struggled last time.Radiating : bad draw also not seen in tracks.

Ignoring these , i find these Horses with a chance ;

WILD TEMPER , War of Attrition , FireFoot and Appreciate and a long shot in the form of ALGO MAS.

6.Sangoma , Vale of Leven , Viceroy /Solskjaer

the Horse has to WIN for the Hype to be justified.May be most of the runners here are non WINNERS but blind betting is better avoided.Well bred horse making a debut @ 4yrs in a VB RACE ??

7.Undoubtedly the RACE of the SEASON.Most of the other classics were a Walk over for the favorites.

It would be foolish to rule out the chances of the unfancied runners.SUGAR RAY , AUTONOMY and NORA appeal to me along with the LIKELY WINNER going by the name of STAR WAVE.

8.VB RACE.Rising Emperor and Te Quiero will be concerned in the finish.The Vijayi Bhava's have been given too many chances to make an impression.Clean Sweep running a VB race is a bit of a surprise after the Hype.

9.Multicultural SHOULD WIN unless the outer draw # 14 poses some serious problems.Startnessey and Encouragement will follow the leader.Alaskan Zone may offer dividend at RWITC.
