Season ending Picks

The Bangalore Racing Winter season comes to a close on saturday.Atleast 3 favorites can be expected to oblige today unlike Friday where almost all races had rank outsiders dominating the show.

My choices are as follows ;


1.Going by the recent track works , Sheza Star , Money in the Bank , You are Wonderful and Ahira come into contention.

Since the Jockey plays a MAJOR role in the sucess of any Horse ( difference was noticed today with the Substitue Jockeys failing miserably ) I would go with Sheza Star only if APPU is available.

Money In the Bank may provide Padmanabhan some breather after offering Several DUDS over the past ONE Month.

Asiatic Boy's pedigree is nothing great and hence better to skip.

You re Wonderful can be a Season ending GAMBLE.

Keep an Eye on AHIRA which has competed with quality horses in the past and is also well bred.


2.VB race meant for the Horses with the least merit.So lets not waste time on the merits and de merits of the contenders.

Astonical and Orange Orchard can be considered for betting .

Spread a Smile will be the favorite and Can oblige considering the not so impressive opposition.


3.Appertain , Diamond Shower and Trafalgar Square are my choices.

The first named is tracking well but being the debut run it is better to avoid a Winning bet.



4.Cart Wheel has been consistent through out the season but a bit unlucky .Lets hope he is able to turn the tables on his adverseries this time around.

Gentle Knight obviously will garner much support but may play bridesmaid.

Perfect Analysis : Owner is sponsoring the main event for the day.So some consolotion can be offered by fellow professionals.

Caprioska : was a expensive failure at Hyderabad. Hype or Genuine class will be decided. Place seems certain and the chances of Winning is not bright.



5.Most open race of the day.

Fleeting Arrow : Ran a good 5 th in the PBM.Has had 2 impressive Wins to his credit in bangalore.Is a live threat.

Archipenko : Lot of Hype based on the previous Victory .But if one were to judge the quality of opposition on that occassion , the conclusion is that it is very difficult for this Horse to WIN.

Rare and Precious : Good Luck.Offer stake money and take it back ??? Seems doubtful.Besides TSJ has turned out to be the worst rider seen in banglore Winter season.

Rimpuche : 2 Good runs and One was against some i9mpressive horses.Distance may prove to be a stumbling block as 1200 would be the ideal distance.Upsets do happen and Mallesh is capable of springing a surprise.

Grand Madame : Best bred in the field but racing too soon and that too after beating some not very good horses.But as always MAM / Prakash Combination would be in the odds and if it is above 5 to 1 worth a WIN / SHp Bet.

Scenic Melody : Ignore the last run.Must have the better of Rimpuche on Saturday.

Hill of Grace : Can repeat.Turn of foot in last outing was impressive but Rajendra was in full flow.Not sure if D.Grant can show the same vigour.


6.Dancing Highness for Each way and Logans Run for PLACE.

Seems a very tricky race.Except for horses 1/5/9/11 , the rest have a chance.


7.Briannsta : Each way and Star Blue Place. Ecuador has been pretty consistent but the change of jockey may not lead to a Win.


8.Milford : place seems a certainity.

As far as Winners are concerned , Callista , Lucky Number Slevin , Ace Act do
have a chance.Based on the odds at race time , Lucky number slevin can be considered for WIN or each way.

9.Nice way to end the season with a VB race .

Classic Movements and Queen of Speed can Aspire to Win ,Light up the Wallets , of the Punters with some mega BUCKs and Live up to the Standards set usually at the end of the season , With memories of the Good Times though No Record Time would be set in this Starry race meant FULLY and only for the lowest rated Horses .
