Sunday Choices

The race card on the face of it looks a lot healthier than saturday.Here are my views and choices .

With Fantasy lake being withdrawn the Race seems set for Earl of Warwick.If there is any threat it is from RAGE of Angels which has been pretty consistent all season.I presume that payments on TOTE are for WIN only and hence betting on Earl would not be very tempting.A small bet on Rage of Angels can be considered for those willing to take a Risk.



Pebble Beach has been made to race over a sprint for non racing reasons.Now that the Horse is competing in a 2000 mts race , the filly can WIN inspite of the top weight.

Temptation : Sacrificed twice for obvious reasons.It the horse takes a level jump, It is in with a decent chance.

Johnny Bravo : not here.Choice of jockey conveys intention.

Varun : after some lacklustre performances sprouted WINGS to win against some average horses over 1600.Looks difficult here.

Brezhnev : 8 year old running 2000 mts under testing weather conditions does not inspire confidence.


Pebble Beach and Temptation can be considered.




Avec Plaisir : Holding the record for the 1200 mts.But at this handicap looks very very very difficult.Looks doubtful for place also.

Lago Medio : is better placed on handicap compared Avec Plaisir.Seems to have recovered some form at the end of the season.Can WIN.

Pampered Princess : Held on against the likes of Oasis Star in the Sprinters Cup before losing out in thelast 50 metres.Not sure if Srinath can take it to the front.CAN do well if the same start tio finish tactics are used.

Pepe Junior : Was struggling in pune season in class 3 .Hence i dont fancy this horse in a CLASS 1 race, though it is better placed on weights.No genuine CLASS.

Star o War : Not here.


Choices are Lago Medio and Pampered Princess.



Enzo : Ignore the Jockey .Is capable of a bold Show.Should easily place.

Sarjerao : may place.

Pomme De Terre : Win bet ??? Not with Satish Nayak.

Splendid Monarchy : Keep an eye can UPSET.

Tyumen : Well bred and tracking well.But a WIN on debut seems very unlikely.


Chioices : Splendid Monarchy and Enzo.



Courage under fire : Ran well on debut.Choice of Jockey is a issue.May do well if Kharadi is upto the task.

Crescendo : moving well off late.Can strike if the odds are lucrative.

Monopoly : The best of the lot but the luck of the draw may go against the filly.Unless the horses which are drawn 1 are taken to the front , it is difficult to cover ground and WIN . Hence a AVOIDABLE BET.

Sophie : May Place.

Synergetic : Racing after 100 days ??? Some medical issues .So avoid.


Choices : Crescendo and Courage Under Fire.




Spirituall : Going by the last run , this Horse SHOULD EASILY WIN though it is a promotee.Most of the runners have no chance whatsoever to even place and that makes it easier.

Gatravat : May only place.

Bonny Light : Last run was a disaster.But may place by default as the rest of the Horses might find to difficult to cover the race distance.


Choices are ; Spirituall Win and Bonny Light Place.



Fire Vault : last run was suggestive.Can do well though Merchant in the saddle does not inspire much confidence.

Forest Music : last run was a disaster as the Horse lost out in the betting since Princess Ruby had to WIN.May place.

On My Way : Well bred horse tracking well.Can surprise.

Rose Bowl : Best on track .But whether the same can be shown in the race is something one cant be certain about.AVOID WIn bet.

Aegina : may place.

Belligerent : Tracking well in track work .The debut run was 3 months back and hence there is a ??? on the fitness aspect of the FILLY. But seen consistently in tracks from 31/03 till date.Should do well.


Choices : Fire Vault and Belligerent.
