Experiment with equations - Have a go.

A priest in a temple has three goddess whom he wishes to treat them equally with flowers. He takes a certain number of flowers and before worshipping the first deity, he rinses the flowers in a pond which doubles. He places a certain number of flowers to the first deity and rinses the remaining flowers in the pond which again doubles and worships the second deity with an equal number of flowers as to that of the first deity. He rinses the remaining flowers in the pond, which again doubles and he worships the third deity with all the flowers in his hand and was extremely satisfied for having treated the three goddess equally with an equal number of flowers as to that of the first and second deity. After worshipping the third deity, the priest had no left over of flowers.
(1)How many flowers did the priest take initially?
(2)How many flowers did the priest place to the three goddess equally?
The answers are simple, but try to solve this with equations and send it to abeldraj@gmail.com before 11.00 A.M. on Sunday the 4th of May 2008

Mr.Vinodvyas has answered it correctly with perfect equations.Kudos, keep it up.
One member had sought time till 3.00 P.M.today.
Many of them had complained that it is too hard for them.
The answers as posted by Mr.Vinodvyas with wonderful equations will be updated at around 4.00 P.M.today.
Mr.Vinod,I hope you will permit me to post your (egg) riddle in this blog which appears to me more tougher than this one.
I am going to be a bit lenient on this one as I am not going to ask for an equation for the egg riddle.
So far I had got only one correct answer from Mr.Vinod.

Hi Abeldraj, the egg riddle cannot be expressed in equations. The riddle in mathematical language will be as follows " find a least number which when divided by 2,3,4,5,6 leaves a reminder of 1 and the same number when divided by 7 leaves a reminder of 0".pleas e post that riddle in the blog...it is real brain teaser.(hint:apply assumptions and deductions method)
