Welcome and Wish you all a very memorable racing season 2008.

It would be my endeavor to ensure that the Choices offeredhere are successful to a reasonable extent. As always I would wish to stresshere that it is Advisable to avoid backing the Favorites when the race timeodds are Even Money or below irrespective of the merit of the Horse.

Races are held throughout the year and there is no dire neccesity toBACK any favorite at low odds as statistics have proved that Playing thefavorites is not profitable in the long run. Iam not suggesting that all theseHorses are not be Betted upon. It is just that Individual bets on these Fancied Horses is not advisable. One should try to beton these Horses only in the Pool Races ie ; Jackpot , Kenchi and Roll Bet etc., as the investment inthese pools are relatively on the lower side .

Banglore races are very competitive and hence I would not go by thenames of the BIG Owners / Trainers / Jockeys .Past form and some decent track work will bethe criteria for offering the choices .We start off with 8 races on Saturdayand from the looks of the Card , it should be a good day for Punters.

These are my views for the day ;

As the Winning Kenchi does not make sense at the low odds , i might have to go for these place Kenchis.

First Combination

Salsera / Smart n Special / Milagro / Star Blue / Kajuraho


Second Combination

Royal Chief / Cart Wheel / Anoosheek

First Race :

The Horses in contention are Pleasuring , You Beauty ,Flying Flame , Aquitaine and Flip your Destiny.

Being the first race , i would go with some place bets only.Pleasuring and You beauty are the Horses which would be fancied for WIN.

Betting options for Place are Flip your Destiny / Flying Flame.

Second Race :

The Horses with a chance are Salsera , Enduring Star ,Royal Chief and Ahira.

Star Presentation seems far superior but has been gelded in March and hence the chances of Winning on the First Run seems doubtful.

Salera seems to be decent each way bet when you consider Ryan Marshall was able to finish on board on debut.

Ahira may place .

Royal Chief has had a solitary run last winter but is tracking extremely well and may be in contention.

Enduring Star is entrusted to a Jockey who might needto get oriented to the track conditions and hence not worth a WIN bet.

Third Race :

VB Contenders.

Event Horizon , Spread a Smile and Princess Emily are looking better compared to the rest of the runners.

Fourth Race :

Poetic may look like a Banker considering the weak set but One must consider the long layoff since the last run on 04/01/2008.The Horse did not participate for unexplained reasons subsequently though the season went on until March,08.

Miss Honey Day , Smart N Special would fetch better returns for PLACE compared to the Winning Odds on Poetic.

Fifth Race :

Star Wave faces mild opposition and would be stronglyfancied to WIN due to the competitive races it has participated in Mumbai. Thisbeing the First appearance here and also a Handicap Race for Class 3 Horsesthere are chances of a upset. Undoubtedly it is looking outstanding. but not worth at the ODDS.

Milagro : Came in after a long break and had a feel of the track towards the concluding stages of the Winter Season. Is well bred and has the capability to upset.

Sunny Baba : Won impressively over 1100.Can place.

Repique : Tracking well but beat nothing of merit in earlier outing.Pedigree is not all that impressive. MAY at best come 3 rd. Not worth a Place bet also.

Cart Wheel : Has performed well in spite of the not so impressive bloodlines. Won impressively at10 to 1 in a terms race earlier. Choice of jockey is looking NEGATIVE to me.Though I have benefited from a Winning bet last time not so hopeful in this handicap race. Good luck to The Owners .

Sixth Race :

Though a class I Race , I don't see any outstanding Horses in the fray.If one were to goby the handicap and relative Jockey Merit then Brahmaputra, Flying Rudolph ,Diamond Hunter and Dinesa can be RULED out.

Pick one amongst the rest based on the prevailing odds and have a Each way bet.

Seventh Race :

Allegro , Anoosheek , Sangini and Star Blue are the Horsesin contention.

I fancy theconsistent Anoosheek and Star Blue.

Eighth Race :

Own Voice : Highlyrated and fancied by one and all but a Non Winner ??

Sprawling Elegance : Has the benefit of a race run .trackingwell. Has a small chance. Should place.

Spark of Gold : Not here mainly on account of the Jockey merit.

Kajuharo : Working well , should be there in the First Three.

Last Sammurai : Long Shot.

I am not very upbeat on the Horses from MAM stable : 5 of them and most of thembeing Favorites. At best 2 MAY Win.
As the Winning Kenchi does not make sense at the low odds , i might have to go for these place Kenchis.
