28 th June Bangalore Races

First race :

Miss Marvellous / Shisham / Illusive Girl.

The Contenders for this Class IV race are Shisham , Illusive Girl and Miss Marvellous.The others dont appeal to me.While Shisham and Illusive Girl have participated in class iv races , Miss Marvellous is a promotee.However in its previous outing the filly finished a good fifth carrying top weight of 62 kgs.Based on the race time odds a decision can be taken.Shisham is a place certainty.

Second Race :


Vijayrath / Caprioska / Undue.

Tricky race as we have only 7 horses in the fray.Going by the previous performance and jockeys assigned to ride, Pleasant Prince and Mighty Heart is ruled out.

Undue : After the bloodless victory in its previous outing it seems this Horse is being considered for the derby.Though bred to stay and having excellent bloodlines the negative point is that it has not beaten any horse of merit.Also is being raced at short notice.As such iam not positive of its chances.

Noble View : Except for the WIN recently ( Srinath ) there is nothing to mention about.But is tracking well and the Horse is bred to do well over longer distances.Change in Jockey is a matter of concern.

Vijayrath : Hyderabad import being the best bred horse in the race and finished a far away 6 th to Star of Washington on its debut run in bangalore.Tracking well and with a good jockey can do well.

Double Elite :Doubtful.

Caprioska : Expensive failure on quite a few occasions and finished faraway 3 rd to Noble View earlier in the season.But has the handicap in favor this time around.


Third Race :


Timeless Treasure / Ahira / Spark of Gold.

Our Charm ; not doing too well in tracks and still retaining Steel Shoes.AVOID.

Stormy River :Doubtful.

Spark of Gold : Could be the dark horse in the fray.Jockey is for the ODDS.

Timeless Treasure : Must be fancied by one and all after the impressive third to Blushing Beam on debut.

Sarang and Fly Free : Not here.

Latvia : Tracking well and is also well bred but seems very much doubtful considering the quality of opposition.

Ahira : Was seen tiring over 1400 when UNDUE won.Is frequent in the morning work outs and hence should place.

Red River Rebel : ????



Fourth race :

Chelsy dancer / Da Bomb / Suceeding Star.

Was fancied in Cart Wheel race in Winter.Win seems doubtful.Can only place.

the Spartan : Doubtful.

One : at best a place hopeful.

Crown Sceptre : Most of the off springs of Brave Act seem to be doing well over longer distances and considering this race is over 1200 , one can rule it out.

Chelsy Dancer : blazing the tracks.Can make it a start to finish affair.

Da Bomb : May place .Keep an eye.



Fifth Race :

Freemason / Supreme Quest / Proof of Treasure .

Any of these Three can WIN as they seem to be closely matched.Supreme Quest is not likely to be in the odds and is the one who can UPSET .However a lot depends on the saddle support from Shiva Kumar who is pretty ordinary.

Prayatna and Lightnin Blues would also come into the betting and one of them may only place.


Sixth Race :

Dancing Highness / Lava / Jet Fire / WonderSmile.

Jet Fire : has been very inconsistent but can do well with the Lucky mascot Jockey back in action.Must surely PLACE.

Dancing Highness : Better saddle assistance with Smith can do the trick as Ranjeet was woefully inadequate last time.

Lava : Impressive Winner and a genuine Class 1 horse.

Wonder Smile : 2 Close finishes this season and was at the receiving end on both occasions.Hence negative for ME.



Seventh race :


Thunders Roar / Ready to Mingle / Jersey Rock / Rocamora.

Ready to Mingle : Won well in the lower class.With Srinath being a stronger rider one can expect it to Finish in 1-2.

Copertina : Not here.

Rocamora : Place possibility.

Clouseau : Confict with Copertina and Ryan Marshall are TWO negatives against this Horse.However the Horse is doing well in the tracks.

Last Sammurai : Distance ?????

Thunders Roar : 3 rd to Gleaming Sky.As this Horse has met up with some quality horses in previous outing , the chances of scoring are bright.

Jersey Rock : Long shot.


Last Race : VB Race and hence entirely avoidable from betting point of view.Favorites rarely oblige in these races.

Attaturk : Top handicap but facing some pretty poor opposition.

Mister Trooper : Place is certain.

You beauty : was finishing on well in previous outings.But no track since last run and hence ignored.

Anna Fleetwood :May place.



Place Kainchi Select any Four . Irfan Ghatala may surprise us for a change.


Shisham / Ahira /Freemason / Jet Fire / Anna Fleetwood


Other Fancy place hopefuls : Da Bomb / Supreme Quest /Jersey Rock.
