Selections for 30th August, 2008 - Pune Races

Hi Folks,

The top weighted Dancing Dynamite, who has improved with every run is looking good and is in fine knick, should win the General Rajendrasinhji Trophy (1,800m), the feature event of the races to be held to-day He came up with menacing strides in the final furlong to win a mile race in Class II in which he tackled some seasoned campaigners . Generally in racing one three year old is unable to concede more than 5kg to another one in the same race except a classic material. Dancing Dynamite looks a classic material atleast for the Pune course and he should be the one to beat in the General Rajendrasinghji Trophy, also enabling trainer Mansoor Shah to record a nice double alongwith Yankee Lane. Gentle Knight and Antonios are the ones who could stretch the top weighted. Dancing Dynamite is expected to keep his unbeaten status intact when he faces five rivals in the General Rajendrasinhji Trophy (Gr.3), a terms race for three-year-old juveniles.

Lago Medio from the stables of Faisal A. Abbas has displayed a flourish in his previous outing when inspite of conceding weight all round finished an impressive 4th. Today Cairndhu runs at level weight and Englehart runs with a lesser advantage. Both Lago Medio and Englehart have a terrific turn of foot towards the finish and both seem to have had a grand rehersal with this cup in view The Akkasaheb Maharaj Trophy. My rest of the selections for the day are as follows:

Race No. 1 : Sudden Impact 2) Lady Trooper

Race No. 2 : Mountain King 2) Regina 3) Opera Royale

Race No. 3 : Yankee Lane 2) Fighting Fantasy 3) Alaska

Race No. 4 : Dancing Dynamite 2) Gentle Knight 3) Antonios

Race No. 5 : Lago Medio 2) Englehart 3) Cairndhu

Lago Medio is well placed on handicap compared to Englehart and Cairndhu. Has an excellent opportunity to score after a long gap. Play each way strongly.

Race No. 6 : STAR IMPACT 2) Born Special 3) Fidel Defensor

Star Impact ran a good second to Sentinel in his only run in Mumbai and though the ones he beat have nothing, it has shown some excellent work in his morning trials and with the benefit of a good mock race under his belt I recommend as the day's best bet even though being his first run in Pune.

Race No. 7 : Swept Away 2) Pomme De Terre 3) Naseebdar

Days Best : STAR IMPACT

Good Double: Yankee Lane and Dancing Dynamite

Kainchi w/pl : Yankee Lane, Dancing Dynamite, Star Impact and Swept Away

Good Luck to all

Thanking you,

Jimmy

We cannot be winners everyday. It is important that we have a budget and play exactly as per a plan so that even during periods when the "LADY LUCK" deserts us, we still do not end up loosing a lot of money."LADY LUCK" does favour everybody at some point of time and we make returns at that time.

Mathematics by itself does not work whenever human involvement is there.

An analysis is also made on the possibilities whch exist for the Owner,Jockey & Trainer and a reasonable surmise is made.
