Smith who rode an excellent waiting race on Southern Charge, has regained his confidence on Indian turf, should win the feature event for the day. Icebreaker has been tracking well since last month and after showing consistent performance at Mumbai wherein it placed an impressive third to Antonios in the Indian Derby, has the best credentials to win this Trophy event. Joker in the pack is much improved Aristos. What a mock race it had alongwith Diego Rivera wherein from the homestretch after taking command was simply unextended and today with an advantage 5.5kgs over Diego Rivera, I am sure it should finish ahead of Diego Rivera. In the supporting event i.e. The Sir M. Visvesvaraya Mem. Cup Div.I, would strongly recommend One over Acridian who is running for the first time in this class and in Div.II, Excellent Ability looks a cinch bet for the day.
