Abel , we all may have different yardsticks while shortlisting our selections but SURELY the MERIT of the JOCKEY plays a VITAL role in the Sucess / Failure .Does your rating include the Jockey merit ??.Iam enquiring as the Jockey on War of Attrition has not been declared, but has been given the First Preference.Not that it CANT WIN , but surely the Jockey will make a difference to the end result.
Shyam,my rating includes the jockey merit also.For eg in the 2nd race HOME TO HOME should have got the 2nd position,but Riyaz Sheikh is better than Mansoor Khan, hence GAME OF POWER pushed back HOME TO HOME to the 3rd position since Riyaz being better than Mansoor.With jockeys to be declared for 4 horses,the only horse for which the rating could be revised is WAR OF ATTRITION,depending on the jockey to be declared.But in any case I feel the jockey to be declared will be better than Kishore Kadam,hence the top billing.PRINCESS RUBY goes to the top because of her impressive Mock Race.RIVER DANCER who trounced MAJOR ROBERTS(who is now rated at 94)should naturally be the top choice because he has the strides to defy the penalty,but for OYSTER GEM's latest impressive spurts,RIVER DANCER would have enjoyed the top slot.

nowadays most of the punters r restricting to bet basing on the jokey who mounted, but not on the
horse on which they are saddling!
It is most unfortunate thing to point out that maximum # of horses wont win based on the merit of the jokety but on the stamina of the horse! But, to some extent it is an admittable fact that some/certain horses will cross the winning post purely based on the riding capability of jockey! The unfortunate thing in racing is the key person involved in Mumbai racing is not suspended more than once! Is there any permanent soluation to this burning issue?
