Belated review of Bangalore races

Spark of Elegance WON well but another WIN looks unlikely in the near future as this WIN was entirely due to the non performance of Mind Me and Royal Player both of whom were never in the hunt.

With the season coming to a close this month , Mind Me can pick up a race if placed in a handicap race.

Appertain's Win was so so as the opposition was not upto the mark.Worth a Diamond's run was forward but i am sure this Horse will not even place in its next outing.Splendid Glory can pick up a race in Mysore.

3 rd Race VB Race : Winning and Losing all depends on the flow of Money and Favorites rarely OBLIGE.

Blushing Beam WON very well but my feeling was that Spirit of Excellence was given a atrocious ride.Nothing to take away the credit as based on this performance Blushing Beam can easily WIN another 2 races on the trot going by the quality of Horses participating in bangalore.

Luminious Gold can be watched only when the Horse is available at longer odds and also placed well on handicap.

Star Speed , Super Sha and Spark of Class were all at the Finish and Super Sha could have picked up the race on a better quality RIDE.

Star Speed based on this run should be watched over longer distances only as it was sluggish at the start.Spark of Class may do well over a sprint.

Diamond Hunter WON purely on its earlier class and some decent track work as none of the others had a chance based on the handicap and relative Jockey Merit.Over rated Mercurial has done well only in MYSORE and has failed repeatedly in bangalore.I wonder why people back this Ordinary Horse with pretty poor bloodlines and that too from this notorious stable.

Aurelian can do well only @ 60 kgs and below.Back this Horse when a allowance Jockey is entrusted with the task.

Dash to Cash was the most impressive Winner of the day and based on this Victory will he heard of very often.

Perfect Analysis is from a stable which manages RACES and the Horses are not worth betting for the ODDS offered and also due to the relative JocKey Merit.

Supreme Harmony will WIN in its next outing provided Srinath or Prakash is given the ride.


Another close finish and Ecuador did well to Pip Gara Fluid and Royal Hero at the post.

For reasons mentioned (refer : Perfect Analysis race ) ARABIAN MEMORIES was the BOOKIES delight with some of them accepting bets in Millions and having the last laugh.A horse carrying 60.5 kgs with some ordinary performance till date was backed for NON RACING Reasons and the Trainer must have been compensated for the LOSS.The fact that the Horse did not even place itself is a sad reflection on the punters who bet on horses based on hearsay.

Musical Paradise WON Impressively though the performance of other fancied runners was dismal.On the Dot came from the last position at the bend to finish a far away 3 rd but considering the long lay off since previous run , it was a commendable effort.Will be seen shortly in Mysore.


2 nd Race was VB RACE , hence comments are not worth the effort.


Was a very competitive race and the 5 th Favorite WON the race beating some highly rated and fancied runners.Winner Silken Care has been a consistent performer but always disregarded in the betting though this WIN was laboured and due to excessive Whipping.

Colonel Duff lost a certain race due to incompetence of Jockey.

Fighting Star or Mangalya Prarambh ??? By the time this was decided by the Trainer's the race was OVER.Never bet on a fancied runner if there is CONFICT of interest.


LESTER HACKED THE FIELD.Can repeat.Won long way from home with the rider looking back repeatedly.Black Mischief was not sighted till the home bend and came on well to finish 2 nd.But again next outing will not be easy as the opposition would be different.

Port Patrick picked up a race in spite of the top handicap and conceding weight all around.Other fancied runners were HOPELESS in their efforts as the race was seemingly set for Double Elite who lost all chances by drifting out in the last 150 - 200 mts.

Most impressive runner in the race was Royal Alchemist who was seen in the tracks after a LONG GAP.Close 4 th.Should do well in future only in races over a mile.

Superior Surprise was never in the money.Ignore this RUN.

Ever so Clever ; Ghatala and Shinde continued taking the punters for a ride.


KIARA , I have to admit was very impressive.I was told that this would the Sprinters CUP winner in 2009.Lets wait and see. If over worked then the chances would fade away.As it is 9 runs in 9 months is a bit too much in the early stages.

Own Voice : Could not relate to the tactics used as another horse from the same stable was also in the ODDS.

Ice BREAKER : outclassed.One WIN and lots of HYPE ???

Rare and Precious can do well when in ordinary company.


Easy's front running tactics worked this time.May be difficult in Mysore.Will be tried in Bangalore Winter.

Others were all finishing on well in the closing stages.Chilly WIND as usual will have a WIN in Mysore.Ciampino can be backed when it is in the odds.

AELENIA : Lucky to get the race as others were very feeble in their efforts in the early part of the race.
Flaming Lamborgini : Not doing well after the death of the Joint Owner .Picked up 2 races in WINTER purely on handicap.Once it beat Top of the CLASS trained by Byramji and ridden by SURAJ Narredu.

With Mallesh and Suraj both doing duty for Khaitan nothing much was expected when AELENIA was fancied and backed by one and all.The BOOKIES offering .75 for place for the 2 nd favorite clearly meant that the Horse would not even PLACE.And this was proved right.So much for merit and honesty in racing.

Chief's Dream should do well in its next RUN.
