Kingfisher Bangalore Derby

Well , the Derby Card would be published on Thursday but the RACE CARD clearly indicates the unfortunate reality that the Main EVENT of the YEAR has been downgraded by the entry of some horses who are not even FIT to compete in a class IV race.

There are only 3 genuine contenders to the Trophy with the rest 6 being not merited to run a class 3 race.

Big time Owners have 7 Horses between them and the rest 2 are not worthy of mention.


The participants ( Rating highlighted ) are as follows ;

1 ARCHIPENKO 56 (86)

Is a genuine contender.


2 VIJAYRATH 56 (51)

Stupid to enter these type of Horses which do not do well even in home centres.


3 GENTLE KNIGHT 56 (54)

Bloodline seems OK but rated very LOW.


4 NOBLE VIEW 56 (74)

After an impressive WIN in class III will be trying to into contention.


5.STAR of WASHINGTON 56 (76)


Lot of hopes on this sibling of Classical Act and Smart Chieftan.


6.STAR PRESENTATION 56 (88)

Listless in Mumbai.Beaten some pretty ordinary horses in bangalore though a class II Winner.


7 KICKINGKING 56 (28)

Disgrace to racing to see this JUNK Horse.If this Horse runs even a VB race IT WILL not WIN.Even Winning a GYMKHANA race is doubtful.Yet we see this in the premier event of the season.

8 SUGAR RAY 56 (49)

Just after running in the Sprinters Cup last week , this Horse is made to RUN purely to act as Pace setter to the WINNER.

9.SET ALIGHT 54.5 (108)

Stands TALL.Trophy could have been given in the PADDOCKS itself.Why go through this SHAM of a formality ??

The Highest rated Horse is Set Alight with 108 and the lowest KickingKing whose Rating is 28 .Should have been ZERO rightfully but being a 3 year old the rating is there by default.

Do we need 3 days ??? to study and then conclude on the LIKELY WINNER and the Horses which would PLACE.

Is it ( the result ) not already here ??


Only question is @ 35 paisa how many takers for Set Alight.
